Remember to find Peace…

My husband took this picture today while he was checking the cows. I instantly fell in love with it as I am a sucker for a good sunset, but it also gave me some peace. This life we chose is not for the weak. You make mistakes (like this morning when you didn't realize it was getting cold last night and your chicks suffer), you will get frustrated, sad, hell you may even cry to your horse because he was an asshole but you forgave him because you love him so much. Thats farm life and you know what?

It's okay.

It won't be a picture perfect farm everyday. Some months you struggle to make ends meet and other months your turning profit like you've never seen before and when you do have that fantastic month; dont take it for granted. Remember the happy moments, those moments that you sit and look outside at your fields and an inner peace settles over you like you've never experienced before. You begin to look back at your life and wonder how you got to this moment right here. What did I do so right to be so blessed to be right here, looking at everything I have in front of me. Sometimes, a subtle fear comes over me though. The fear that it will be taken all away from you or that bad days are soon to come. On those day, its important to remember the good days.

In the end, it was all worth it. This picture right here reminds me that its all worth it.
